Family portraits

Real moments, not stiff poses

I keep sessions relaxed and moving. Kids play, grandparents chat, and the best photos happen in between. I'll suggest a location and time of day for the softest light, from Jerusalem forests to the coast.

Bar mitzvah & hanachat tefillin

A morning at the Kotel you'll want to remember

From the first time he wraps tefillin to the family lunch afterwards, I photograph the whole morning quietly and respectfully, so you can focus on your son.

Brit milah & simchat bat

Your newest family member's first celebration

I work quietly in the background during the ceremony, then capture the family, the grandparents and the meal. At home, in a shul or in a hall, anywhere in the Jerusalem and Tel Aviv areas.

About me

Hi, I'm Jonny

I grew up in England, spending as much time as I could hiking and camping in the countryside. A trip to Loch Lomond, taking photos on my phone, is what got me hooked on photography.

Today I live in Israel and photograph families and simchas. I'm also a licensed tour guide, so I know Jerusalem and the Old City inside out: the best corners, the best light, and how to get around the Kotel on a busy morning.

I'm a Fujifilm X-Series photographer and the Flytographer photographer for Jerusalem. My photos have appeared in National Geographic Viajes, The Jerusalem Post and The Times of Israel.
